Street Art App

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-05

This is the plain-language summary. The full, binding version is the app privacy policy, the one declared on the App Store and Google Play.

Data we collect

We only collect the data we need to operate the app, plus what you consent to:

  • Account info: email, username, language preference. If you sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook, we receive the identifier and email that provider returns, nothing more.
  • Precise location: only when you choose to centre the map on you, browse artworks around you or geotag a contribution. Never tracked in the background.
  • Content you publish: photos, titles, descriptions, tags and the position you attach to an artwork. This content is public by design.
  • Technical data and crash reports: device model, OS version, app version, context of the failure.
  • Notification token, used to deliver the notifications you enabled.
  • Advertising identifier and usage analytics: only if you consent (see below).

How we use your data

To operate the app: show you the map, save your contributions, moderate them, send you the notifications you enabled. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Advertising and analytics

The free app shows an advertising banner served by Google AdMob, and measures screen usage with Firebase Analytics. Both hang on the same consent decision: where the GDPR requires it, Google's consent form appears before any ad, and refusing means no ad is requested and no analytics are collected. On iOS, the system asks for tracking permission first (ATT); refusing there forces non-personalised ads. Either way the app works exactly the same, and you can change your mind in your device settings. A Hunter Pro or Premium subscription removes advertising entirely.

Moderation

Every contribution is reviewed before it appears publicly. You can report any content from inside the app and block another user; reports are handled within 24 hours.

Data sharing

Your public content (photos, artworks, profile) is visible to other users. Our providers each serve a defined purpose: Google (advertising, analytics, maps, sign-in), Sentry (crash reports), Expo (app delivery and notifications), Stripe (subscription payments), IONOS (hosting, on servers located in France).

Your rights

You can view and correct your data from your profile, and delete your account straight from the app (Account → Delete my account): account, profile, avatar, preferences, notifications, likes and badges are erased, and any active subscription is cancelled. Artworks already published stay on the map but are no longer attributed to you. To exercise your other GDPR rights, contact contact@street-artwork.com.
